This three-year-old Exceed And Excel gelding trained by John O’Shea is unbeaten in two starts. On debut he fought on well for a 0.1 length win over 1400m at Kembla Grange on 2 November, then led throughout and fought on well for a 0.3 length win over 1500m at Hawkesbury on 18 November. James McDonald sticks with him and he will be hard to beat.

Ocean Emperor (Warwick Farm Race 6 No. 2):
This four-year-old Written Tycoon gelding trained by Bjorn Baker has two wins and three places from 13 starts. He was the leader straightening but the winner was too strong late and he finished 0.8 length 2nd over 1100m at Canterbury Park on 27 October, then led early before winding late for 5.4 lengths 4th over 1100m at Canterbury on 12 November. Has a 3 kg claim here which will help and looks a nice each-way bet.

Hollywood Gossip (Warwick Farm Race 5 No. 8):
This three-year-old I’m All the Talk filly trained by Gary Portelli is the early favourite in this Fillies & Mares BM 64 handicap over 1100m. She led early and was headed in the last 100m for 0.6 length 3rd over 1300m at Goulburn on 31 October, then was the leader straightening but was nailed late for 0.4 length 2nd over 1200m at Canterbury Park on 12 November. Has only raced once on heavy going and finished well back in the field, so I’m prepared to risk her here.

Best Bet Jokers Grin (Belmont Race 3 No. 8) First-starter who was very impressive winning a Lark Hill trial by over 4 lengths on 6th May.
