Naples (Hawkesbury Race 1 No. 1)
Last preparation this three-year-old Street Boss filly trained by James Cummings ran 2nd in three of her four starts. She kept chasing for 0.5 length 2nd over 1100m at Hawkesbury on 9 September, then got to the front at the 250m but was overhauled and finished 0.5 length 2nd over 1200m at Goulburn on 25 September. Resumes here from a 19 week spell and this looks a winnable race for her.

Sandastan (Hawkesbury Race 6 No. 7):
This three-year-old Epaulette gelding has one win and three places from seven starts. He fought on well for a 0.1 length win in a maiden plate over 1600m at Gosford on 31 December, then was beaten at the 200m and finished 6 lengths 3rd over 2100m at Wyong on 23 January. Has the speed to overcome the widest barrier and the drop in distance should help. Looks a nice each-way chance.

Born A Warrior (Hawkesbury Race 7 No. 9):
This five-year-old I Am Invincible gelding trained by Ron Quinton has one win and eight places from 21 starts and is the early favourite in this BM 64 Handicap over 1300m. He made ground in the last 200m without threatening when 3.2 lengths 7th over 1300m at Warwick Farm on 22 December, then chased hard for 1.6 lengths 5th over 1400m at Warwick Farm on 26 January. Considering he has only won one of 21 I don’t think he offers value here.
