Milingimbi (Newcastle-Beaumont Race 1 No. 2)
Since the blinkers went back on this girl three starts ago, she has run consistent races. Second up she was a 1.75-length second to Gold Card who has since won in the country before heading to this track and running a half-length second to Parties Galore on the heavy going. Last start she ran into Extra Flash who had been travelling as well as her but once again she settled for a 1.5 length second on a much firmer track. She gets her chance here back to her own sex and the extra 150m will suit her well. Ashley Morgan is aboard which gives me confidence and she should be in the finish once again.

Oakfield Feather (Newcastle-Beaumont Race 4 No.10)
I didn’t mind this girl back to her own sex here following a nice run at Kempsey over the 1250m. She boxed on well enough for a 1.3-length defeat when finishing fourth to Star of Yamba whilst third placing Willinga Karisma has since won well. She goes up to 1350m here which I think is going to be right up her alley and despite the tough draw, I think she can get into a nice spot and figure in the finish against tougher opposition.

The track is Good and the shiny new running rail is in the true position. The feature is the $30,000 Murray Reid Memorial Pingrup Cup over 1660m (race 5) where last year's winner Oddoneout returns to defend his title.
