Irish Kisses (Newcastle Race 1 No. 3)

Happy to kick off with our best bet in a very thin benchmark 64. Irish Kisses has been very consistent in this preparation which began with a cracking run first up in town behind Arbitration when she came from near last to finish 1.8 lengths off the winner in third. She was wide throughout second up in midweek company when 3.2 lengths fourth to More Secrets before heading to Kembla last start where she a drifting favourite when finishing 3.7 lengths back in third. She is peaking in fitness now, back to her own sex in a benchmark 64, drawn well, and gets a vital 3kg claim. I expect her to be right in the finish.

Current Price: $4.40

Best Each Way

Etriente (Newcastle Race 6 No.10)

A little left field, and if you decide to have a bet on this race, just make it very small. This girl was eased out of the race first up over the 1400m here at Newcastle after settling at the rear of the field in a very slowly run race. Up to a mile now with a senior jockey and of course the blinkers going on, which can really switch some horses on. Just to justify it further, Alysha Collett has a 20.6% strike rate when riding for the Widdup stable and when the stable adds blinkers for the first time, their runners have a strike rate of 15.9%. Not the worst.

Current Price: $101.00

Our Sandown Hillside Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting. Key Comments The rail is in the true position. The best bet resumes off a break and showed plenty of determination to win from a hopeless spot last start. Best Bet The Autumn Belle (Sandown Hillside Race 4 No. 10) Sticking with her after a brilliant finale when rattling home from a tough spot. Barrier 2 and Damian Lane are both ideal for this race and she will take some beating despite jumping back in trip.

Horse Racing Tips : TAS Wednesday 6th March 2024

Our Launceston Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday. The evening meeting has 9 races with the first at 5.36pm. The track is a Soft 5 and the rail is +8 metres from the 1200m to the winning post and +6 metres for the remainder. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with an advantage to those who find the inside lanes in the straight. David Pires has some good rides.
