Fun Sunday (Hawkesbury Race 1 No. 3)
Taking a chance on Fun Sunday at the big odds. It had the dream run on debut but couldn’t quite roll the $1.40 favourite who had trialled up really well. Concede the favourite was held back through the line but I was taken by how well Fun Sunday went across the finish, it put 2-3 lengths on the field indicating the step up to the 1300m is ideal. Barrier 9 is a bit sticky but we get $16.00 to find out.

Each Way
Snitcat (Hawkesbury Race 5 No. 12)
Concede the draw is tricky but Snitcat looks suited. It was far from disgraced last run in the Group 2 Silver Shadow Stakes and this is a clear drop in class. The map isn’t ideal but it has plenty of class on this field and brings in the clear best last start rating. Collett will need to be clever from the draw but if he can find a back to follow Snitcat should run over the top of these. Its also worth noting Collett is an excellent jockey when riding off the speed.

Sir Ming (Hawkesbury Race 4 No. 8)
Sir Ming was caught wide on debut and had no luck. A recent trial was a good piece of work however Sir Ming maps poorly again from the draw so it might just be stuck out in no mans land another time. The early $3.00 is short enough in a wide open affair.
