Salaasel has had its fair share of issues but banking on it being ready to go. It boasts a 3rd to Giga Kick on debut and has been away because of a bleeding ban. The first starter has been well backed but if Salaasel is supported late it does look the winner.

Magadan (Newcastle Race 5 No. 4)
Magadan showed a good finale last start and looks well in here, maps nicely and gets the draw to have a nice run in transit. Its form around Dreamdeel reads well and it’ll be hard to hold out against this lot.

Pretty Rho (Newcastle Race 1 No. 6)
Happy to go with the first starter at the better price to beat the favourite in this. Pretty Rho drops in grade and maps well but looks short enough with a few of these looking good chances in this race.
