Sharp N Smart (Royal Randwick Race 7 No. 5)
Taken a bit of a risk with this New Zealand gelding who has come over to Australia previously. When he was in Australia last preparation, he placed in the Phoenix before having a chequered run in the straight when finishing fourth in the J J Atkins. He has started this preparation with a tight win over Cognito back in New Zealand, who had already had a run and has since won the guineas trial. With aims of entering the Golden Eagle, they need to run well here and I love the step up to 1800m, he just needs to handle the heavy going, and I think they can run a strong race.

Hope In Your Heart (Royal Randwick Race 9 No.3)
This is a brilliant each-way bet. After winning a benchmark 78 in impressive fashion two runs back, they decided to send her to Newcastle for the Tibbie Stakes. She was brilliant in the race, settling tenth of the twelve runners before making her run in the straight. She made it back-to-back wins, winning by 0.6 of a length whilst running some of the quickest sectionals of the entire meeting. I love that she handles wet tracks, out to the mile suits and Josh Parr is the terrific replacement for Tim Clark. She is over the odds.
