Victorine (Hawkesbury Race 2 No. 8)

This Kermadec filly has been seen as a non-winner, losing as favourite three times in her career and finishing in the top five in her last six starts. I am forgiving of her first-up run this time around as she was caught wide without cover, and I want to highlight her last run at the Kensington over the 1300m. Her run was really good, and she was a part of the pace that got put on up front. She then went up the rail which was a no-go, and still picked up to run the fourth quickest final 200m of the race. She gets 1.5kg off the horse that ran second in the race, A Lot Of Love, who sat last and ran the quickest splits, but was very much aided by bias and speed up front. Our girl is drawn well, gets a decent provincial jockey aboard, and maps perfectly.

Current Price: $4.20

Shadows Of Love (Hawkesbury Race 7 No.13)

This Dissident filly has trialled up beautifully for her debut and I think she can run a bit race. She won both trials over 845m and 1000m, with her 1000m trial being her latest and over this track and distance. She has some nice early speed, which she will need from the wide draw here, and she has Andrew Gibbons aboard, which is a nice booking. This is the perfect start for her and I expect her to be in the finish.

Current Price: $2.90

Our Sandown Hillside Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting. Key Comments The rail is in the true position. The best bet resumes off a break and showed plenty of determination to win from a hopeless spot last start. Best Bet The Autumn Belle (Sandown Hillside Race 4 No. 10) Sticking with her after a brilliant finale when rattling home from a tough spot. Barrier 2 and Damian Lane are both ideal for this race and she will take some beating despite jumping back in trip.

Horse Racing Tips : TAS Wednesday 6th March 2024

Our Launceston Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday. The evening meeting has 9 races with the first at 5.36pm. The track is a Soft 5 and the rail is +8 metres from the 1200m to the winning post and +6 metres for the remainder. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with an advantage to those who find the inside lanes in the straight. David Pires has some good rides.
