Tycoonist (Rosehill Race 9 No. 4)
This three-year-old Written Tycoon gelding trained by Chris Waller has three wins and five places from 14 starts. He was the leader straightening but was overrun in the final stages for 0.3 length 2nd on a heavy track over 1300m at Rosehill on 19 June where the rider was a half kilo over. Last start he kicked at the 300m and kept going for a 0.17 length win over 1300m at Rosehill on 3 July with the best last 800m-200m race sectional. Should race on the speed and looks the likely winner.

Go Troppo (Rosehill Race 3 No. 3):
This three-year-old Hinchinbrook gelding trained by Matthew Dunn at Murwillumbah has three wins and four places from eight starts. After a seven week let-up he came across heels at the 200m to find the front and race away for a 1.8 length win over 1400m at Newcastle on 26 June, then he chased hard to prevail in the final stages for a 0.17 length win over 1500m at Randwick on a heavy track on 10 July. He has drawn the inside barrier and looks a strong each-way chance.

Best Lay
Ashim (Rosehill Race 8 No. 1):
This four-year-old Stormy Atlantic gelding trained by Matthew Smith at Warwick Farm is the early favourite in this Midway BM 72 handicap over 1500m. At his first Australian start after a break of 32 weeks he kept chasing for 3.56 lengths 4th over 1300m at Rosehill Gardens on 19 June, then he was no match for the winner but defeated the rest comfortably when 3.27 lengths 2nd over 1300m at Randwick on 10 July. He goes up a half kilo and I’m prepared to risk him in this big field.
