Highly Ambitious (Newcastle Race 5 No. 6)
This is a deep benchmark 64 but I reckon we have found the one. Highly Ambitious has been only fair this preparation and had the blinkers put on two starts ago where she went back to the rear and was just okay. Last start made you stand up and take notice as she went up to the 1400m and was only just beaten by a horse I think is city grade in Spangler. She was beaten by less than half a length but beat the remainder of the field by over 1.5 lengths. She ran the eighth quickest final 600m of the meeting and the fourth quickest final 400m of the meeting, so the eye match the sectionals. She has drawn well here, gets Kody Nestor aboard, and maps to get a nice run throughout.

Gamesmanship (Newcastle Race 1 No.7)
Blackbooked this fella following his latest trial where he was hard held by Nash Rawiller when finishing two lengths off them in fifth. He was keen on his debut and it looked like more of a fitness trial than anything as he was snagged back to last before coming out and running some solid sectionals despite finishing ten lengths in last. He gets another strong rider aboard in Alysha Collett, will love the 1860m, and is drawn and maps to get a nice run throughout. If Collett can keep a nice hold on him throughout, he will run a massive race in the long straight.
