Willinga Beast | (Royal Randwick Race 9 No. 5)
I have been hanging for the return of this Snitzel filly following her first preparation. She was amazing on debut at Canterbury before smashing all bar the talented Paris Dior in the Percy Sykes Stakes, and she really took it to her, going down 0.25 of a length in second, beating the remainder of the field by four lengths! She has had two trials which have been brilliant as opposed to the one trial she had prior to running last preparation. She has drawn well, so I am expecting Hugh Bowman to sit her closer to the speed before unleashing her around the 300m mark. Regardless of the result, she will be one to follow in the Spring.

Bandipur | (Royal Randwick Race 5 No.4)
I have tipped Showmanship on top in this race but there is still a query on whether he races here or in Melbourne. Regardless this is a terrific each-way bet to have. He returned after almost two years off to run a brilliant 1.1 length fifth against decent opposition, whilst being wide throughout. The improving track helps his cause, the draw is decent considering he maps well behind an average pace and should get every chance to run a big one. Providing he doesn’t have second-up syndrome following the long layoff, he should run a nice race and he is well over the odds.
