Krone (Rosehill Race 4 No.1)
Tony Gollan sends this mare south after two decent yet tough runs carrying the 59.5kg. First-up she ran some nice sectionals coming from twelfth on the turn to finish three lengths back in fifth before she went down to the Gold Coast for the $1 million Fillies and Mares race. She sat much handier in the run at a slow pace but she couldn’t match the finish of Snapdancer, despite running some nice sectionals. She did have an excuse on the day though, as she was stuck three-wide. She is drawn perfectly here, drops 1.5kg from her last run, and gets the services of the in-form Hugh Bowman. If she brings the same form that she brought down to Sydney last preparation, she should blow these away. Expat is the danger and she will need to make sure she isn’t too far off rounding the turn.

Mr. Mosaic (Rosehill Race 2 No.3)
This is a race in two in my eyes between our top pick and Rule of Law. Mr. Mosaic has been nothing but impressive since coming back a little bit lighter this preparation (gelded), posting back-to-back wins at this track and distance. First-up he ground out a nice win over Tycoonist and Liberty Sun, with Tycoonist winning next start and Wisdom of Water winning its next two. Second-up he led the entire way, holding out Belluci Babe, Dream Circle, and The Bopper. Although he is stepping up in grade, he gets a nice 2kg claim from Reece Jones who has ridden him for three victories in his last five rides and he is drawn perfectly in barrier one to either kick up to lead or box seat. He loves this track and distance, so I expect him to give the favourite a run.

Ebhaar (Rosehill Race 6 No.14)
This girl is rocks or diamonds but considering what she can produce if she puts it all together, she is worth the gamble. She didn’t do a lot right in her lone start this preparation, she race keenly and just didn’t put it together. She wound up having a poor recovery so there were excuses but she didn’t help herself. She gets Kerrin McEvoy here and drops 3kg from her last start effort. Drawn in barrier eight is ideal as there is lots of speed in this race and if Kerrin can get her into a midfield or better spot, she will be a massive chance to win this race. At her best, she blows these away but which Ebhaar is going to turn up? To help our cause, the Snowden’s have an 18.3% second-up record in the last 12 months, winning 82 of their 448 races started at a profit on turnover of just over 10%.

Queen of the Ball (Rosehill Race 6 No.13)
Had all the favours on a leader/rail bias track last start and will face a lot of speed here and I don’t think barrier one is good for her. I think she is massive unders in a capacity field of evenly matched two-year-olds.
