Maotai (Royal Randwick Race 10 No. 5)
Saving the best for the last of the day. He opened his preparation with a 0.6 length win in benchmark 78 company before stepping up to a benchmark 88, beating home everything by half a length or more, except the winner Shades of Rose, who has since won a Group 3. He remains in the same grade, gets a jockey change, and is drawn to get a nice run. The gelding has proven over his past two runs that he doesn’t have to lead, and he is going to get the perfect cart into the race in this one. With it being his third run this preparation, he will be peaking in fitness and ready to give us a winning end to the day.

Grace And Harmony (Royal Randwick Race 3 No.7)
This Sebring mare produced an eye-catching run behind Yukon first up before stepping up in grade majorly last start. She dwelt at the start by two lengths before being stoked up to sit closer to the speed, which probably hurt her in the finish, especially since she came up the inside, which wasn’t the place to be on the day. She goes up to the mile now which is suitable and back to a benchmark 88 with James McDonald to ride. They will probably ride her off the rail and towards the rear, so with even luck, she should be storming late.
