Vinnie’s Spirit | (Rosehill Gardens Race 1 No. 2)
Happy to stick with this I Am Invincible colt who was impressive at Newcastle last start. He glided through the heavy conditions on the day, winning by about 2.5 lengths. Although he didn’t beat a lot on the day, the way he got through the going impressed me, and with the likelihood of a heavy track again on Saturday, it won’t be a worry for him. He is proven over 1400m, he is as fit as a fiddle, he has drawn favourably, maps to get the lead by himself and he has Avdulla aboard, who will be brimming with confidence following his display on Wednesday. He will be giving us a sight in the opening event.

This Brazen Beau filly has started her preparation well and I think she will go close to her second win in three starts. She was stuck in the pack early on in the straight before darting to the inside, only to be beaten a quarter of a length on the line. She will be third-up on Saturday and she once again has a favourable draw to be able to get a similar run to last start. Wet tracks don’t worry her and Waller is putting the pre-race earmuffs on the first time, to which is has a 19% winning strike rate over the last 12 months when putting them onto his horses for the first time. She will be giving us a sight!
