Huon (Canterbury Race 7 No.6)
He was our best bet a fortnight ago and he was a tragedy beaten when finishing 0.8 of a length in second behind Destination. He was held up in the straight and it ultimately cost him the race. He has drawn well and should be able to get into a nice position throughout. He gets a vital 3kg off from Zac Lloyd which will help, and he has plenty of upside, so I expect him to be too good for these.

Lalaguna (Canterbury Race 1 No.9)
This girl is first up following a nice first preparation, which culminated in a 4.7 length sixth in the Group 3 Breeders’ Stakes behind See You In Heaven at Morphettville. Her second up run last preparation at Ballarat was a two-year-old maiden race where she was narrowly beaten by a group winner named Golden Mile. Being her second preparation I expect her to be a lot better, she has the blinkers off first time and pre-race earmuffs on first time and she has had two excellent trials in preparation for this. She has drawn well, maps well, and carries no weight with the claim of Zac Lloyd. Happy to back her at the current quote.

Best Bet My Hidden Universe (Pinjarra Park Race 5 No. 2) My Hidden Universe has placed at all 4 of his starts. Last start he came from the outside barrier and worked hard to find the front. He had nothing left to give when tackled late. With a softer run this time he should get his maiden win. $1.70
