Pee Dee (Scone Race 2 No. 3)
He was tremendous first up at this track over the 1300m when he led from start to finish. He led them up running 7.5 lengths above average to the 800m mark but still managed to keep the pace relatively high over the final 800m. The field he beat may have been in a weaker grade but this field isn’t that much better. He has drawn ideally once again, and has superior early speed to his rivals and should lead them up nicely. A repeat of last start would be too good for his opposition here.

Piece of Turf (Scone Race 3 No.9)
This girl had just one start in the Autumn, running a solid second on debut at Muswellbrook over the 1000m. She was a narrow second to Wategos who has won since and this race has produced a further two country winners and two provincial winners. She did get a fair way back on the day and was sectionally brilliant over the closing stages. She has drawn in the middle here and will likely settle midfield or worse again due to the pace on the inside. Providing there is no bias present on the day, she should be hitting the line well.
