Huon (Canterbury Race 7 No.6)
He was fantastic at Hawkesbury first up, so don’t let the margin fool you. He was first up after being gelded and he raced without cover for the majority of the race and the rider even lost his whip in the running, which gives even more merit to the ride. It is a nice rise in grade and a senior jockey jumps aboard, which is ideal and he has drawn a beautiful gate. I expect Bowman to be handy throughout before peeling off their backs and streaking away.

Mission Phoenix (Canterbury Race 6 No.3)
I loved the return of this bloke first up when he was 1.4 lengths back in third behind Pandano at Kensington. His best form comes from runs on top of the ground which are the conditions he gets here and the blinkers going back on is ideal as the stable has a 42.9% strike rate when re-applying the blinkers. He has drawn well, maps well and should be thereabouts in the finish.
