This four-year-old Star Witness gelding trained by Adam Durrant has two wins and four places from his seven starts. He was outkicked for 1.33 lengths 2nd over 1000m at Ascot on 12 May, then balanced up four wide and ran on strongly but couldn’t get to the leader for 0.89 length 2nd over 1200m at Pinjarra Park on 19 May. Should win here with William Pike riding.

Nurhaci (Belmont Race 5 No. 1):
This four-year-old Nicconi gelding has three wins and six places from 13 starts. He ran on strongly and took over at the 100m for a 1.67 length win over 1230m at Albany on 16 May, then got held up in traffic before running on strongly for 0.68 length 2nd over 1000m at Northam on 27 May where he had the best final 400m of the meeting. Looks well-placed and is a strong each-way hope.

Rebel Heart (Belmont Race 8 No. 4):
This three-year-old More Than Ready filly is the early favourite in this Class 1 Handicap over 1650m. At the end of last campaign she tried hard for 2.53 lengths 2nd in a Class 1 over 1690m at Bunbury on 13 January. She resumed for 1.56 lengths 4th over 1650m at Belmont on 26 May where she peaked late. There are several chances in the race and she offers no value
