He took over late on a heavy track for a 0.9 length win over 1600m at Pinjarra on 4 August, then began awkwardly and laid in down the straight where he should have finished closer than his 1.3 lengths 4th over 2100m at Belmont. On a seven day back-up and gets blinkers for the first time. Should be winning.

Choice Bid (Belmont Race 7 No. 4)
This five-year-old Choisir gelding is a model of consistency and hasn’t finished worse than 4th at his last 10 runs. He didn’t quite see out the 1200m in the wet for 1.9 lengths 3rd over 1200m at Belmont on 20 July, then had enough late on the heavy going for 2.6 lengths 3rd over 1200m at Belmont on 17 August. He is so consistent that he has to be a great each-way chance.

Dance Of The South (Belmont Race 3 No. 1)
This five-year-old Shooting to Win mare is the early favourite in this Class 3 handicap over 1700m. She was wide throughout when 2.8 lengths 8th over 1700m at Belmont on 10 August, then led before fading in the final 150m for 3.5 lengths 7th over 2200m at Belmont on 27 August. On a four day back-up and back from Saturday to mid-week racing but carries more weight. Willing to risk her.
