Crypto Queen (Belmont Race 6 No. 9)
This three-year-old Sessions filly trained by Brain Kersley has one win and four 2nd places from five starts. She kept coming to just miss for 0.12 length 2nd over 1000m at Belmont on 30 June, then looked the winner but was gunned down in a tight finish for 0.04 length 2nd over 1000m at Belmont on 14 July. Has genuine early speed and looks a great chance here.

Alkaline (Belmont Race 8 No. 1):
This three-year-old Blackfriars gelding has one win and five places from nine starts. He gave a kick straightening and held off a late challenge for a bold front running 1.3 length win over 2013m at Pinjarra Park on 8 July, then chased strongly and kept coming but was unable to reel in the leader for 0.69 length 2nd over 2100m at Belmont on 14 July. Should race on the speed and is a top each-way prospect.

Lonehand Larry (Belmont Race 7 No. 6):
This three-year-old My Atacanta gelding is the early favourite in this Class 3 Handicap over 1200m. He was unable to finish it off in the straight and finished 3.8 lengths 4th over 1400m at Ascot on 12 May. After an eight week let-up he ran on strongly out wide for 1.9 lengths 3rd over 1000m at Belmont on 10 July with a good final 400m sectional. The opposition looks a little tougher here and I am prepared to risk him.

That will suit the best bet who loves racing here and comes up later in the day. Best Bet Flame Tree Star (Grafton Race 1 No. 1) Has a booming turn of foot and while Swanston doesn't have the easiest pattern to catch, this track does suit and that shows with the 9 placings
