Grant and Alana Williams train this three-year-old Hinchinbrook filly who has one win from three starts. After winning by 2.8 lengths on debut she finished 1.6 lengths 7th in a 3YO Classic over 1000m at Ascot on 9 October, then battled evenly for 4.4 lengths 6th in the Listed Belgravia Stakes over 1200m at Ascot on 23 October. Resumes from a 13 week spell and gets the blinkers on for the first time. Placed in a recent trial and is a big chance.

Star Storm (Belmont Race 12 No. 12):
William Pike rides this four-year-old Dream Ahead mare in the last race of the day. She loomed up at the top of the straight and kept fighting but was outgunned in the final 100m to finish 2.5 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Belmont on 21 July, then finished 1.7 lengths 6th over 1400m at Belmont on 28 July. Both of those runs were on heavy tracks. Resumes here after 26 weeks and has trialled recently. Looks a nice each-way bet.

Nights Mystery (Belmont Race 7 No. 4):
This three-year-old Knight Exemplar gelding trained by Mitchell Pateman is the early favourite in this Class 1 Handicap over 1000m. When resuming from a 22 week spell he fought hard for 0.1 length 2nd over 1000m at Pinjarra on 5 December, then held on for a length win over 1000m at Belmont on 30 December. He is up in weight and will find this harder than his maiden win. Prepared to risk him.
