This four-year-old Snippetson gelding trained by Jim Taylor has two wins and five places from 10 starts. He led throughout and won by 0.7 length over 1100m at Northam on 27 September, then was grabbed on the line for 0.1 length 2nd over 1200m at Ascot on 2 November. Has a lot of early speed and is going well this preparation. Should win again.

Alimentaria (Belmont Race 8 No. 2):
This seven-year-old Trade Fair mare has three wins and 11 places from 24 starts. She faded in the run to the line for 8 lengths 7th over 1600m at Northam on 20 October, then loomed at the 100m and finished 0.8 length 3rd over 1800m at Ascot on 10 November. Has placed at three of her last four races and looks a strong each-way hope again.

English Heritage (Belmont Race 6 No. 2):
This four-year-old Heritage mare trained by Lindsey Smith is the early favourite in this Class One Handicap for Fillies & Mares over 1400m. She only battled for 6 lengths 6th over 1300m at Northam on 24 October, then fought evenly in traffic for 3.1 lengths 4th over 1400m at Belmont on 11 November. Gets the blinkers on for the first time, but I’m not sure that will be enough.

That will suit the best bet who loves racing here and comes up later in the day. Best Bet Flame Tree Star (Grafton Race 1 No. 1) Has a booming turn of foot and while Swanston doesn't have the easiest pattern to catch, this track does suit and that shows with the 9 placings
