He took a narrow lead at the 150m then was outbobbed on the line after laying in for a close 2nd over 1600m at Northam on 28 July, then took over late on a heavy track for a 0.9 length win over 1600m at Pinjarra on 4 August. The extra distance shouldn’t bother him and he should win.

This four-year-old mare has been running well lately. She kept coming gamely for 1.3 lengths 2nd over 1300m at Northam on 28 July, then peeled three wide on the turn and ran on strongly to take over at the 150m and win by 1.9 lengths over 1700m at Belmont on 10 August. Looks nicely placed here and is a good each-way chance.

This three-year-old Magnus gelding is the early favourite in this 3YO No Metro Wins Last Year handicap over 1000m. He is one of 4 runners in the race that are having their first start.
