Sheza Chalmer (Ascot Race 1 No. 4)
This three-year-old filly has started four times for two wins and two 2nds. She ran on strongly taking over at the 100m for a 2.67 length win over 1208m at Bunbury on 25 November, then raced greenly when 0.73 length 2nd over 1200m at Ascot on 12 December. Resumes here after an 18 week spell and should go well first-up.

Prize Pursuit (Ascot Race 8 No. 4):
This three-year-old gelding has a win and a place from his three starts. He was held up from the turn to the 100m when 0.8 length 4th over 1200m at Pinjarra Park on 17 December and should have finished closer, then he led all the way for a 2.8 length win over 1300m at Pinjarra Park on 28 December. Resumes here from a 16 week spell and has had a trial at Lark Hill. William Pike is riding and he looks a good each-way bet.

Best Lay
Giancana (Ascot Race 7 No. 3):
This three-year-old Streetboss filly has won one of her four starts and is the early favourite in this Class 1 handicap over 1200m. At the end of last campaign she fought on for 2.24 lengths 6th in the Listed Placid Ark Stakes over 1200m at Ascot on 21 November. She resumed for 4.47 lengths 7th over 1100m at Ascot on 3 April where she didn’t run. Blinkers will go back on but I don’t know if that will be enough to make her win and she offers no value.
