Our Belmont Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Smashing (Belmont Race 6 No. 8)
This four-year-old Playing God mare trained by Neville Parnham has one wins and four places from 12 starts. She boxed on steadily to the line for 7 lengths 7th on a heavy track over 1200m at Belmont on 21 July, then angled wide into the straight and ran on strongly to finish 3. 5 lengths 2nd over 1000m at Belmont on 4 August. The extra 200m is in her favour and she is the leading chance.

Juliette (Belmont Race 8 No. 10):
This seven-year-old Poet’s Voice mare has two wins and 13 places from 37 starts. She made good ground when she came from last on a heavy track to finish 3.6 lengths 3rd over 2100m at Belmont on 28 July, then kept coming gamely for 1.4 lengths 2nd over 2200m at Belmont on 11 August. On a seven day back-up she is a strong each-way chance here.

Best Lay

Agent Kensington (Belmont Race 5 No. 3):
This four-year-old So Secret mare is the early favourite in this Class 1 Handicap over 1000m. Resuming after 20 weeks she fought strongly for 0.5 length 2nd over 1100m at Northam on 15 July, then let down at the 200m and raced away for a 1.9 length win in a maiden over 1000m at Northam on 29 July. It’s a tough ask to expect back-to-back wins and I’m prepared to risk her here.
