This four-year-old gelding resumes here from an 18 week spell. He finished 6.3 lengths 13th in the Listed Melvista Stakes over 2200m on 26 March, then ran 7.6 lengths 9th in the Group 2 WATC Derby over 2400m on 9 April. Has trialled well, drops back to a Class 3 and has won two from two first-up. Leading hope.

Mong Khon (Belmont Race 6 No. 5)
This six-year-old gelding has finished in the first four at his last six starts. He won by 0.3 length over 1500m at Pinjarra on 21 July, then finished 1.2 lengths 4th over 1600m at Pinjarra on 4 August. Has placed five times from seven starts at this track and looks a nice each-way chance again.

Best Lay
Mr Megsey (Belmont Race 1 No. 2)
This four-year-old is the early favourite in this 3YO & Up Maiden over 1400m. At the end of last campaign he finished 6.8 lengths 4th over 1400m at Ascot on 6 April, then resumed after 17 weeks for 2.2 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Pinjarra on 4 August. Others look to have better prospects, and he is too short a price.
