This four-year-old Blackfriars mare trained by Rob Gulberti has won two of her last three starts. She was held up from the turn to the 200m before running on strongly for 1.3 lengths 5th over 2000m at Pinjarra Park on 13 January, then wound up steadily and took over late for a 0.7 length win over 2200m at Pinjarra Scarpside on 30 January. Gets a 2kg claim and she will take a power of beating.

Great Charade (Belmont Race 8 No. 4):
Trevor Andrews trains this six-year-old Magnus gelding that has six wins and 11 places from 37 starts. He didn’t go on in the run to the line for 6.6 lengths 9th over 1500m at Ascot on 15 January, then ran on strongly for a 0.3 length win over 1400m at Belmont on 2 February, Drawn to do no work and has a win and a place from four starts at this track & distance combination. Looks a nice each-way chance.

Zoudini (Belmont Race 7 No. 3):
The early favourite in this Class 3 Handicap over 1300m is this five-year-old gelding trained by Lindsey Smith. He was blocked for most of the straight when 1.8 lengths 7th over 1200m at Belmont on 2 February, then ran on strongly from a long last for 1.4 lengths 4th over 1000m at Belmont on 9 February. He was favourite for both of those starts and is getting expensive. Has drawn barrier 12 and happy to risk him.
