Awesome Rival | (Belmont Race 5 No.2)
Following two promising runs behind better runners, this Awesome Rock filly finally broke through last start with a 0.8 length win over She’s Puzzling and The Panzer. I loved the way she picked up over the final 200m to put her rivals away and to me, she will handle this step up to 1650m with no worries. With two winners coming out of this race since, I think she is a massive chance to go back to back here.

Mahaleo | (Belmont Race 8 No.4)
Whilst most of the punters’ last start were on Hammarmill, this three-year-old gelding made sure the punters were cursing, putting Hammarmill and the rest of the field away by over 1.2 lengths. He was by far superior in the race and the fact that he was first-up adds even more merit to the run and there has already been a Saturday winner from this race since. The draw isn’t as good here but with natural progression on his side and back to taking on his own sex, he is a massive chance to go back to back in the winner’s circle.
