Stellar Vista (Ascot Race 8 No. 8)
This three-year-old Star Witness filly has started twice for a win and a place. At her first start she ran on strongly taking over late for a 0.56 length win over 1300m at Pinjarra Park on 18 March, then she peeled four-wide at the turn and ran on for 1.6 lengths 2nd over 1400m at Ascot on 3 April. She looks to have a bright future ahead of her and should bring up her second win here.

Great Charade (Ascot Race 6 No. 6):
This five-year-old Magnus gelding has four wins and 10 places from 29 starts. He fought hard for a 0.24 length win over 1400m at Ascot on 10 March, then was outkicked by the leaders in the run to the line for 0.27, 1.87 lengths 3rd over 1300m at Pinjarra on 25 March. He is going well this preparation and is well worth an each-way bet.

Shezaclassychic (Ascot Race 2 No. 5):
This two-year-old Safeguard filly has had two race starts and is the early favourite in this 2YO Maiden over 1200m. On debut she pulled up lame when 6 lengths 7th over 1000m at Ascot on 10 March, then she was slowly away and came from last for 1.41 lengths 4th over 1000m at Ascot on 27 March. She will be fitter but other runners in the race also have good chances and she offers no value in the market.

Best Bet Eastern Front (Wyong Race 2 No. 10) No luck last start when well in the market after being caught wide. The each way bet has been heavily tried and will be hard to hold out. Best Bet Redbreast (Hawkesbury Race 5 No. 11) Solid debut in a harder race than this. Maps well from barrier 2 and Tim Clark does the steering. Should appreciate the drop in grade and this race looks very suitable. Hard to beat. $1.95

Best Bet Quickster (Sandown Lakeside Race 1 No. 9) Good way to kick the day off with a winner. I tipped Quickster at the start of last prep and it should have won when flying home late. Suited kicking off at the 1200 and looks terribly hard to beat. $1.75
