Our Ascot Horse Racing Tips for Saturday’s meeting. The feature event is the Group 2 WATC Derby (race 8).

Harmika (Ascot Race 5 No. 2)
With two wins and four places from six starts, this Rogano filly hasn’t run a bad race. She was a 0.3 length winner over 1200m at Ascot on 16 March, then got caught in traffic before running on strongly for 0.1 length 2nd to the smart Metallon over 1100m at Ascot on 2 April where she probably should have won. Will be hard to beat.

Yoyo’s (Ascot Race 4 No. 8)
This four-year-old Universal Ruler mare trained by Peter Fernie has three wins and four places from 13 starts. At the end of last campaign she got tired in the straight when 3.8 lengths 6th over 1200m at Kalgoorlie on 30 October where she had a slow recovery and was spelled for 21 weeks. She resumed with a 1.9 length win over 1100m at Kalgoorlie on 26 March and looks a place chance here.

Tena Koutou (Ascot Race 7 No. 3)
This four-year-old Blackfriars gelding is the early favourite in this RTG 66+ Handicap over 2400m. He was a 0.4 length winner over 1600m at Ascot on 12 February, then finished 0.5 length 2nd over 2100m at Ascot on 12 March. He steps up in distance and has a 60kg steadier which will make things hard. Willing to risk him here.
