Etomorp | (Belmont Race 2 No.1)
This bloke has been the definition of consistency, finishing in the top two in all five career starts. He came from a long way back first-up to finish less than a length back in second before stepping up to the mile second-up and saluting nicely in the heavy going by two lengths. He is up into a Class 1 now which is an ideal step and the extra 100m works in his favour. He handles the conditions which will be vital and with a kinder draw, Shaun O’Donnell has the chance to sit a touch closer, should he choose to. Being lightly raced and with plenty of improvement to come, I expect him to salute with even luck.

Mahaleo | (Belmont Race 10 No.3)
He was mighty unlucky last start, being held up in the straight when finishing 0.8 of a length back in fourth, though arguably, he should have won. This is a little tougher but he has been very consistent, handles the sting out of the ground, and will settle at the rear anyway, even though he has drawn wide. He will need some luck (depending on how the track is playing), but this is a very winnable race.
