Last of the Line | (Belmont Race 6 No.1)
I was majorly impressed by the return of this Blackfriars gelding. Settling at the rear of the field due to the wide barrier draw, he came home like a rocket, running a quick final last 200m. It was a brave effort as he was carrying 62kg and lost a plate in the run. The favourite and rival from last start Startrade is in this race but he meets him 2kg better off and their barriers are almost reverse from last start. I expect our bloke to settle a touch closer in the run and he will relish the step up to the mile.

Colossal | (Belmont Race 3 No.4)
I love the setup for this Snitzel colt. He was impressive last start, dropping back to last and hitting the line well despite being held up at the top of the straight. He drops back slightly in grade and has drawn a lot better than last start, so I am expecting a nice run with Carberry back aboard. There isn’t a lot of speed in this race so I expect them to sit a little closer in the run before unleashing late.
