This looks an overly good 1000m for our top pick to get that elusive win for this preparation. Following three placings on the trot, finishing no further back than 0.6 of a length in third, this daughter of Dream Ahead faces one of her easiest tasks so far this time in. Her past two outings she had some excuses when finishing second to horses like Capital Flight and Bitofmerit, and steps back from open class to a restricted race which looks ideal. She remains at 1000m, keeps Carberry aboard, and handles the sting out of the ground. She is drawn to run well and this is her best chance to get another win on the board.

Reliable Star | (Belmont Race 4 No.1)
Another horse with a nice setup. She was massively up in grade last start and just didn’t get the job done, so she steps back to the grade prior where she won both her races this preparation, and gets the winkers off and blinkers on for the first time. She handles soft conditions but the heavy is unknown, but I think she will be fine, plus she gets the 3kg off from Taj Dyson’s claim, so she won’t have as much to carry. Providing the blinkers switch her on, I can see her making it win number three in four starts.
