The Velvet Queen (Ascot Race 4 No. 10)
With two wins and a place from three starts. this three-year-old Universal Ruler filly from the Darren McAuliffe stable has had a great start to her career. She resumed from a 19 week spell to charge ahead late for a 0.5 length win over 1200m at Belmont on 24 November with the best final 400m of the meeting, then took over late for a 0.4 length win over 1200m at Ascot on 8 December. She has a strong finish and should win again.

Miss Vasari (Ascot Race 6 No. 9):
This four-year-old Rogano mare trained by Daniel Morton has three wins and two places from nine starts. She raced three wide with no cover before finishing 3.1 lengths 4th over 1000m at Belmont on 21 November, then came from well back in the field to surge ahead late for a 0.7 length win over 1200m at Ascot on 4 December. Has drawn the rails and looks a nice each-way chance here.

Dance Music (Ascot Race 7 No. 1):
This six-year-old War Chant mare trained by Simon A Miller has won 12 of her 31 starts and is the early favourite in the Listed Starstruck Classic for fillies and mares over 1600m. She edged ahead briefly at the 200m then faded for 7.2 lengths 6th in the Group 1 Railway Stakes over 1600m at Ascot on 20 November, then peaked late for 2.1 lengths 5th in the Group 1 Kingston Town Classic over 1800m at Ascot on 4 December. Coming back in distance ahould help but she has drawn the outside barrier and I’m willing to risk her here.
