Our Ascot Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

The feature races is the Group 3 WA Sires Produce Stakes over 1400m (race 8).

Miss Conteki (Ascot Race 4 No. 9)
This four-year-old Eurozone mare has five wins from six starts. She resumed from a 43 week spell with a 1.86 length win over 1000m at Ascot on 1 March, then peeled five wide on the turn and arrived late for a 0.27 length win over 1000m at Ascot on 27 March where she had the best final 400m of the meeting. She is flying and should notch up win number 6 here.

Each Way

Featherweight (Ascot Race 8 No. 2):
This two-year-old Snippetson gelding trained by Dan Morton has one win and one place from four starts. He finished 2 lengths 5th in the Listed Perth Stakes over 1100m at Ascot on 20 March, then missed getting a start in the Group 2 Karrakatta Plate when second emergency two weeks ago. Last week he won over 1100m at Ascot to break his maiden. That was his first race in three weeks and he looks to have improvement, making him worth an each-way bet.

River Beau (Ascot Race 6 No. 5):
This four-year-old Snippetson gelding is the early favourite in this BM 78+ Handicap over 1000m. He took over on straightening but was grabbed on the line for 0.27 lengths 2nd over 1000m at Ascot on 27 March, then got ahead at the 125m for a 0.17 length win over 1100m at Ascot on 3 April. Comes back in distance and is up against some tougher opposition so doesn’t represent value here.
