This four-year-old mare has had four starts at Belmont for two wins and a place. She finished 1.4 lengths 4th over 1400m at Belmont on 4 July, then finished very well for a 2 length win over 1600m on a soft track at Belmont on 1 August. She can handle soft going and it looks as if she can win again.

Brave Call (Belmont Race 1 No. 2):
This War Chant gelding is still a maiden after 12 races but has run a couple of good places. He showed little despite being urged along when 11.7 lengths 11th over 1600m at Pinjarra Park on 23 January, then was spelled. He resumed over 1400m at Belmont on 29 July where he chased strongly and hit the lead at the 200m but was gunned down in the last few strides to finish 0.3 lengths 2nd. On the basis of that he is an each-way chance here.

Best Lay
Inflation (Belmont Race 9 No. 5):
This five-year=old gelding is favourite in this 1300m race after placing here at his last two starts. He led but was caught late for 0.2 lengths 2nd over 1400m at Belmont on 15 July, then led and was caught late again for 0.06, 0.7 lengths 3rd over 1300m at Belmont on 1 August. There are last start winners in this race and he is no value.
