He angled three wide on the turn and finished runner-up to Flirtini in the Listed Miss Andretti Stakes over 1100m at Ascot on 16 January, before being swamped late for 1.14 lengths 4th in the Listed Scenic Blast Stakes over 1200m at Ascot on 30 January. With seven wins at this track and distance combination he will race on the race and should be there at the finish.

This four-year-old mare trained by Martin Allan has six wins and two places from 11 starts, and five of her wins were at this track. She won by 0.31 length over 1000m at Ascot on 30 Janaury, then was tiring late but held on for a 0.77 length win after leading all the way over 1000m at Ascot on 30 January. She has drawn very wide but is still good enough to place here.

Western Empire (Ascot Race 8 No. 6):
This three-year-old gelding trained by Grant and Alana Williams is the early favourite in the WATC Challenge Stakes for 3YOs over 1500m. He ran 1.32, 0.12 lengths 3rd in the Listed Sir Ernest Lee-Steere Classic over 1400m at Ascot on 5 December, then after an 8 week break he broke his maiden with a 2.19 length win over 1100m at Bunbury on 31 January. He is a nice horse but is under the odds in this race.
