This four-year-old Nicconi gelding has four wins and four places from 17 starts. He got to the front but was grabbed late for 0.25 length 2nd over 1000m at Ascot on 14 November, then led into the straight and held on for a 1.34 length win over 1100m at Ascot on 5 December. On a seven day back-up he looks a good each-way bet here.

This four-year-old Oratorio mare is the early favourite in this Graduation Handicap over 1400m. She was a close 2nd over 1400m at Ascot on 14 November, then won by 0.55 length over 1400m at Ascot on 28 November. She is up in weight and others are better value.

Our Newcastle tips for Tuesday's meeting. Key Comments The rail is in 10 metres which is rare to see at Newcastle. The best bet was incredibly unlucky last start and gets the right race to attempt breaking maiden. Best Bet Perri Lass (Newcastle Race 6 No. 11) Perri Lass didn't have much luck last run and can atone in this field. Maps well for Gibbo who retains the ride after not being able to get clean air at a vital time last start.

The track is a Good 4 with the rail in the true position. The Best Bet is very short but looks a moral.
