The son of Demerit is coming into this on the back of an 8-day backup when he ran a solid second at this track over the 1200m. His previous form suggests that he is the one to be with here, as he steps up to the 1400m. The draw isn’t a worry and he should be able to get into an ideal position with Natasha Faithfull in the saddle. He should go very close.

Run For Money (Geraldton Race 5 No.6)
The son of Dash for Cash was tremendous second-up this track and distance, winning by almost five lengths before returning to this track to run a tight third to Jag The Joker over 1200m. He is drawn and maps to get a dream run and being fourth-up, he should be ready to go fitness-wise. I like that they have stepped him back to 1100m and with Kayla Cross remaining aboard, I expect him to have another solid outing.

I am willing to take this bloke on as he has drawn the middle of a small field with next to no pace. He is going to need the pace on which he won’t get here and he is going to have to lump the 61kg on top of that. He will be coming late but I think the on-pacer beats him.
