Our Strathalbyn Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Inspired Sun (Strathalbyn Race 6 No. 1)
Won at this track and distance last outing. This five-year-old Fighting Sun gelding trained by David Jolly chased strongly and hit the line hard for 0.4 length 2nd over 1200m at Strathalbyn on 30 January, then got the blinkers back on and took over at the 125m for a 0.7 length win over 1200m here on 16 February. Rates highly and can win again.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Alphaeus (Strathalbyn Race 5 No. 4):
This five-year-old Zebedee gelding trained by Darren Magro at Gawler has one win and seven places from 18 starts. He got to a narrow lead early but was headed and boxed on solidly for 1.9 lengths 4th over 1600m at Strathalbyn on 29 December, then had a seven week let-up. He resumed for 0.1 length 2nd in a BM 58 over 1360m at Kingscote on 19 February. Has three placings from five runs this preparation and with the 2kg claim looks a nice each-way chance.

Best Lay

Conconi (Strathalbyn Race 8 No. 8):
This seven-year-old Bianconi mare is the early favourite in this Fillies and Mares BM 58 handicap over 1200m. She came from last to work home nicely late for 1.7 lengths 5th over 1200m at Murray Bridge on 26 January, then wound up from the top of the straight to storm home down the outside for 0.8 length 2nd over 1400m at Balaklava on 13 February. Our Sandown Hillside Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting. Key Comments The rail is in the true position. The best bet resumes off a break and showed plenty of determination to win from a hopeless spot last start. Best Bet The Autumn Belle (Sandown Hillside Race 4 No. 10) Sticking with her after a brilliant finale when rattling home from a tough spot. Barrier 2 and Damian Lane are both ideal for this race and she will take some beating despite jumping back in trip.

Our Warwick Farm Tips for Wednesday's meeting. Key Comments The rail is in the true position. The best bet gets a drop in class, kind draw and J-Mac hoping aboard. Plenty to like about its chances. Best Bet Etna Rosso (Warwick Farm Race 4 No. 1) Liked the last start run when not having much luck behind an in form bunch of runners. The form has been franked since and was scratched from the weekend in preference for this. With J-Mac aboard and the

Our Launceston Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday. The evening meeting has 9 races with the first at 5.36pm. The track is a Soft 5 and the rail is +8 metres from the 1200m to the winning post and +6 metres for the remainder. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with an advantage to those who find the inside lanes in the straight. David Pires has some good rides.
