Inspired Sun (Oakbank Race 6 No. 5)
With two wins from his last two starts this five-year-old Fighting Sun gelding trained by David Jolly is ready to make it a hat-trick. He came from last on straightening to take over at the 125m and hold off a late challenge for a 0.7 length win over 1200m at Strathalbyn on 16 February, then came clear for a classy 3.2 length win over 1200m at Strathalbyn on 9 March. Has run well on softer tracks and looks beautifully placed.

Clever Man (Oakbank Race 3 No. 1)
This five-year-old Dundeel gelding trained by Trevor White has four wins and 10 places from 31 starts. He got to the front but was claimed late for 0.3 length 2nd over 1800m at Mount Gambier on 23 February then chased gamely the entire straight but was unable to reel in the leader for 2.3 lengths 2nd over 2000m at Bordertown on 6 March. Should race on the speed and looks a good each-way bet.

Grey Vitality (Oakbank Race 6 No. 14)
This four-year-old Barbados mare trained by G & N Searle & B Callanan is the early favourite in this BM 54 handicap over 1900m and won at this track three starts back. She had a torrid run where she wasn’t really tested when 6.8 lengths 8th over 1506m at Gawler on 9 February, then started favourite and battled away to grab 3rd over 1600m at Strathalbyn on 9 March. The 2kg claim should help but she is untested over the 1900m and I am willing to risk her here.
