Our Balaklava Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.
Tuki Twelve (Balaklava Race 4 No. 1)
This three-year-old Pierro gelding trained by Tony & Calvin McEvoy has a win and a place from four starts. He was slowly away and always well back when 8.9 lengths 13th over 2000m at Flemington on 15 January, then came from well back to finish 3.3 lengths 3rd over 2000m at Murray Bridge on 2 February, Nicely placed and should win.

Harbouring (Balaklava Race 8 No. 17):
This six-year-old Harbour Watch gelding trained by Garret Lynch at Murray Bridge has seven wins and 14 places from 55 starts. He led on the rails but was no match for the winner in the final 200m and finished 6 lengths 2nd over 1600m at Balaklava on 13 February, then hit the front at the 150m and was grabbed on the line for 0.1 length 2nd over 1600m at Morphettville on 26 February. The drop in distance should suit and he looks a nice each-way chance.

Shellshocked (Balaklava Race 7 No. 1):
This four-year-old War gelding trained by Gordon Richards & Damien Moyle is the early favourite in this BM 58 handicap over 1050m. He drove through to a narrow lead on the rails but was run down late for 0.5 length 2nd over 1200m at Gawler on 8 January, then stalked the leader to the turn but was beaten off at the 200m and finished 2.4 lengths 3rd over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 19 February. Returns from a seven week let-up and having his first run for a new trainer. Prefer to see.
