This five-year-old gelding is trained at Strathalbyn and has raced here three times for two wins and a place. He came from well back and chased solidly to be outbobbed at the finish for 0.2 length 2nd over 1500m at Gawler on a soft track on 5 October, then finished 8 lengths 9th over 1400m at Murray Bridge on 16 October. Expected to go well on his home track.

Goldie Guru (Strathalbyn Race 7 No. 5):
This four-year-old So You Think mare is down in grade from last campaign. She settled way back then peeled wide and battled on for 5.9 lengths 4th over 2000m at Murray Bridge in a BM60 handicap, then she she got to the front briefly but dropped right out when 16.3 lengths 12th in the Group 3 SA Fillies Classic over 2500m at Morphettville on 16 May. She was spelled after that and returns after 23 weeks. She has trialled at Gawler and is back in distance and is worth an each-way bet.

Best Bet Artful Girl (Doomben Race 1 No. 7) Knocking on the door and gets a good chance in this race. Smart move with the claim and looks closer to a win than most of these.
