Our Strathalbyn Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.
Best Bet
Paramedic (Strathalbyn Race 1 No. 2)
This five-year-old gelding hasn’t been far away at his last couple of starts. He resumed from a 31 week spell for 1.6 lengths 3rd over 1000m at Murray Bridge where he was doing his best work late, then he lost position approaching the turn when 2 lengths 4th over 1250m at Morphettville Parks on 3 December. Forgive his last run and he looks well suited here.

Best Each Way
Betta Eddie (Strathalbyn Race 7 No. 8)
This five-year-old gelding has raced at Strathalbyn twice before and has placed both times. He came from a clear last and made late ground for 2.6 lengths 7th over 1100m at Gawler on 30 November, then covered ground throughout and missed by a tiny margin when 2nd over 1200m at Strathalbyn on 14 December. Looks a solid each way chance.

Best Lay
Bonjour Blue (Strathalbyn Race 2 No. 3)
This four-year-old Snitzel gelding is the early favourite in this Maiden Plate for horses three-years-old and upwards over 1600m. He made ground from 9th to finish 2.9 lengths 5th over 1350m at Strathalbyn on 27 November, then battled on for 2.7 lengths 5th over 1350m at Strathalbyn on 14 December. The rise in distance should suit, but others offer better value.
