This four-year-old Free Eagle gelding trained by Peter Blanch loomed strongly at the 200m to finish 0.4 length 2nd over 2150m at Oakbank on 12 January, then took over in the final 200m for a 1.3 length win over 1900m at Oakbank on 19 January. Racing for his 3rd Wednesday in a row he can make it back-to-back wins here.

Sanbuck (Murray Bridge Race 4 No. 3):
This five-year-old Reward for Effort gelding trained by Byron Cozamanis has three wins and 10 places from 27 starts. He got there in the final stride for a 0.1 length win over 1000m at Port Lincoln on 19 December, then fought gamely in the straight for 1.8 lengths 5th over 1000m at Port Lincoln on 9 January. Won’t be far away in the run and looks a great each-way chance.

Le Dupe (Murray Bridge Race 5 No. 9):
This eight-year-old Duporth gelding trained by Jordan Frew is the early favourite in this BM 54 Handicap over 1600m. He only battled for 4.6 lengths 4th in a BM 56 over 2200m at Balaklava on 29 September, then was spelled for 15 weeks. When resuming he worked home strongly from last for 2.2 lengths 6th in a BM 62 over 1350m at Strathalbyn on 16 January, Should run well but don’t think he will win.
