Our Murray Bridge Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.
Nakheel (Murray Bridge Race 6 No. 5)
This five-year-old Rubick mare trained by Will Clarken at Morphettville has one win and three place from eight starts. At the end of last campaign she faded in the straight for 4.2 lengths 5th over 1505m at Gawler on 19 December, then was spelled for 33 weeks. When resuming she worked home well late for 0.4 length 2nd over 1200m at Murray Bridge on 7 August. The rise in distance should suit and she looks a top chance here.

Rusty Halo (Murray Bridge Race 7 No. 1):
This four-year-old Kaphero gelding has two wins and one place from six starts and both win were over this track and distance. He chased solidly and took over inside the final 100m for a 0.8 length win over 1000m at Murray Bridge on 14 July, then held off late challengers for a 0.6 length win over 1000m at Murray Bridge on 7 August. Looks a nice each-way bet.

Nirek’s Lad (Murray Bridge Race 2 No. 6):
This four-year-old Ambidexter gelding trained by Ryan Balfour is the early favourite in this 3YO & upwards Maiden Plate over 1400m. He has only had two runs and debuted with 1.4 lengths 5th over 1300m on heavy going at Balaklava after being held up badly. At his 2nd start he battled away steadily without threatening for 2.6 lengths 5th over 1400m at Balaklava. Other runners offer better value.
