Sebonna (Mount Gambier Race 4 No. 1)
Sebonna has won four of his eight starts this campaign. He dived hard on the line to just miss for a narrow 2nd over 1700m at Penola on 13 Janaury, then hit the lead at the 100m and drew clear for a 1.8 length win in the Naracoorte Cup over 2000m on 6 February. This six-year-old Sebring gelding is trained by Peter Hardacre and should win on his home track.

Snaptof (Mount Gambier Race 3 No. 7):
This six-year-old Toorak Toff mare trained by Jeremy Kenny has three wins and five places from 19 starts. She hit the lead approaching the turn and kept going strongly for a 1.5 length win over 1300m at Penola on 23 January, then fought gamely the entire straight to run 2.7 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Naracoorte on 6 February. Has shown plenty of determination at her last couple and looks a good each-way chance.

Best Lay
Three Tears (Mount Gambier Race 6 No. 7):
This four-year-old Helmet mare is the early favourite in this BM 58 handicap over 900m. A year ago she finished 3.3 lengths 3rd over 1050m at Morphettville on 20 February 2021, then was spelled for 26 weeks. She was beaten off in the final 150m for 2.4 lengths 6th over 1000m at Murray Bridge on 25 August, then was spelled again for 26 weeks. She is meeting race-fit horses here and other runners offer better value.
