This five-year-old Statue Of Liberty gelding has had 17 starts for two wins and three places and is the only runner in the race to have won at this track. He drove through to lead o the rails and kept kicking for a 1.9 length win over 1050m at Oakbank on 23 December, then drove late to just miss for 0.1 length 2nd over 1000m at Bordertown on 6 January. He is racing well and can win again.

Zoustorm (Oakbank Race 4 No. 5):
This five-year-old Zoustar gelding has two wins and four places from 25 starts, and has won at this track. He came from 11th to steadily improve for 2.2 lengths 4th over 1200m at Gawler on 19 December where he narrowly missed 3rd, then joined in at the 200m and edged ahead for a 0.5 length win over 1400m at Oakbank on 23 December. He drops back to a shorter trip and looks a nice each-way bet.

Betta Eddie (Oakbank Race 2 No. 4):
This three-year-old grey gelding trained at Gawler is the early favourite in this colts, geldings and entires maiden plate over 1050m. He resumed from a spell for 5.6 lengths 6th over 1100m at Gawler on 19 December, then was inconvenienced when 6.8 lengths 6th over 1100m at Gawler on 2 January. This is a wide open race and others are better value.
