Naleigh | (Strathalbyn Race 3 No. 1)

Backing this mare who has hit the line well behind I Am Bene and Cashin Chex in Saturday grade races and big fields. Coming into this race third-up, she should be able to sit in a nice position throughout from an ideal draw or worst-case scenario, she sits last of this six-horse field. More importantly, she ran well on rain-affected surfaces in much better company than this whilst she also gets 1.5kg off with the claim of Ben Price. This race is hers for the taking.

Current Price: $2.00

The Partisan | (Strathalbyn Race 5 No.2)

The ultra-consistent Poet’s Voice gelding is returning to the track after 273 days on the sideline after an injury. Despite being injured in his last run, he still managed to salute by 2.2 lengths in impressive fashion. His trial in the lead-in to this was very good and he will come in four spots once the scratchings come out, meaning his draw will be ideal for him to stroll to the front and control proceedings. Angus Chung takes the ride and will provide a nice 1.5kg claim and more importantly he has previously run well on wet going.

Current Price: $2.40

Tempting Belle |(Strathalbyn Race 6 No.5)

Despite dropping back in grade, She has drawn wide and generally hasn’t gone well on rain-affected going, winning 2 of her 16 starts. I think this race is a lot more open than the market suggests and I am happy to take her on.

Current Lay Price: $3.30
