He worked hard from a wide barrier to sit just off the pace but faded steadily in the straight for 4.1 lengths 9th over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 16 July, then was a 4.6 length winner of a BM 54 Handicap over 1000m at Roxby Downs on 6 August. Likely to race on the speed. Gets a 3kg claim here and should be hard to beat.

This five-year-old Host gelding trained by Matthew Seyers at Murray Bridge drops in grade from his last few races. He was gathered in late for 0.9 length 2nd over 900m at Murray Bridge on 13 July, then was taken out wide and was winded to the line to finish 5 lengths 8th in a BM 68 Handicap over 1000m at Murray Bridge on 6 August. Drawn well in barrier 2 and looks a nice each-way chance.

This seven-year-old Starspangledbanner gelding trained by Phillip Stokes is the early favourite in this BM 58 Handicap over 1950m, after placing at his last three starts. He battled solidly for 0.9 lengths 3rd over 2200m at Balaklava on 27 July, then went down narrowly for 0.6 length 2nd over 2200m at Balaklava on 10 August. Has a big weight and with only 4 wins from 29 starts I am prepared to risk him.
